The controversial Kimchi Land

This is what I get for trying to cook, watch TV and surf net at the same time. Sometime multi tasking has its drawbacks.

Overcooked meat

Now to main topic, I don't understand how can a city with population of more than 10 million build this kind of train platform. I mean they are thin but in winter everyone is fat ok. No matter how thin you are, under negative 18 degrees you will be fat also. Every day I need to suck in my tummy when I stand on this kind of platform and pretend that I am thin. Can't wait for spring so that I look less like a dumpling and more like a pear.

Nightmare during rush hour

Unknown to many, korean men spit. I have yet to see woman spit though. I really wanted to take photo of the spit stains in front of my office but I know most of you read my blog during lunch/dinner. Don't want you to puke lar. Don't care how young or how old they just like to spit. They are quite skilled too. They can spit while walking and the spit will not hit the person next to them. This is the most shocking thing to me. Suddenly I start to see my Super Junior in a different light. (T__T) I don't know what's wrong with swallowing your own saliva. Got poison is it?

Then they perplexed me with the way the treat the priority seats in the train. NO ONE ever sits there and any foreigners who don't know better will get the evil stare from all the Koreans in the entire cabin. The combine force of an entire cabin during rush hours can really make you feel electric jolt and immediately stand up. Priority seats also quite a lot, 6 to 8 in one cabin which sometimes look really funny empty when the entire cabin is packed full like sardine. I sound like I experienced the evil stare but luckily I haven't. Colleague warned me on Day 1, but I see someone got that stare.

There is a big mirror walk mirror on the side wall in almost all train stations. I asked my colleague is it feng shui. He also dunno. Later we know. It's for the ladies to check their appearance. Oh My GOD..... I think people here can die for vanity. One thing about their train ethics that I like. If they knew you are friends, they will actually scoot over so that you and your friend can sit together. Now some of you might find this unhygienic and you grandma tells you that you will get bisul sitting on a seat just hotly evacuated. But I find this a very nice gesture and I will just plop my butt down without second thought. I like the hot seat too, especially nice in cold winters.

If only they can curb that spitting....... If you are coming, I advise you not to wear open sandals and don't look at the ground too closely when you walk.
